I’ve always wanted to have a wedding painter at our event and we finally got to partner with the Silvey sisters.

On average, a live wedding painter charges between $1,000 and $10,000. It requires a high level of skill to paint under pressure, in a live situation. When examining the offerings below, keep in mind that this is for the services of TWO skilled painters.
There are many variables that will affect this price. For example, if you wanted them to paint larger pieces, or custom sizes, this will influence the cost.
The sisters are willing to travel. If you hire the sisters for a venue more than 2 hours away from Columbia, Missouri, they will need per-mile reimbursement for their travel costs. If it’s too far to drive, they are willing to fly. Ticket prices and hotel room reservations will be invoiced to you.
Because they are two artists (one watercolorist, one oil painter), they offer multiple options. Before offering a quote, the sisters will have a chat with the client about their preferences, to help them determine exactly which options they want.
All of the Silvey sisters’ live painting packages include the following:
- A 30-minute consultation to discuss the client’s vision and needs
- Up to 7 hours of live art entertainment
- Premium quality archival paints on fine cotton paper or a gallery-wrapped canvas
- Oils are hand-varnished, to protect the painting
- Watercolors are custom matted
- Hand-delivery of the finished piece(s)
Classic Rose Package
(Our recommendation and specialty!)
Jessica paints one large oil painting of the scene of your choice, which you can watch unfold throughout the night; while Sarah paints watercolor guest portraits, which they can take home as favors. When the sisters work together, they take turns entertaining and conversing with the guests. They love people and are good-natured on our own, but they bring an even brighter, more fun energy to your wedding when the two of them are together! ($2800-$3400)
Magnolia Package
In this package, Jessica and Sarah would each paint different scenes of your choice: one in oil, and one in watercolor. This is also a great option if you would like to surprise a loved one with a painting as a gift. ($2800-$3900)
Lavender Package
If your guests are your priority, this package will maximize their art experience, because both sisters will work on creating watercolor guest portraits. Each sister can paint 5-12 portraits per hour. Combined, they can create up to 160 unique portraits sketched with ink and finished with watercolor, for guests to take home as favors. ($2000)

If the live painting is out of your budget, the Silvey sisters also offer custom studio commissions based off of your photos. These can vary in price from $250-$2400, depending on medium, size, and complexity. Click the contact button to request a quote for a commission.
